They primarily solve business growth problems arising from the ambition to scale, but limited by: 1. Technology (architecture and software, e.g. products and systems that have become difficult to scale or build upon) 2. Processes (non-existing or outdated, e.g. what to do, how and when only exists in people’s heads and creates friction, resistance to change and financial pains) 3. People (roles and organization, e.g. need for new competencies and organizational design to support it).
